Joseph F. Pauswinski, Jr., a devoted family man and esteemed community leader, passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 12, 1948, Joseph was a lifelong pillar of strength and dedication, whose legacy is deeply felt by all who knew him.
Joseph’s early education was rooted in faith and discipline, attending St. Callistus Elementary School and St. Joseph’s Preparatory High School, before continuing his academic journey at St. Joseph’s University. His commitment to service extended beyond the classroom through his honorable service in the United States Army, exemplifying a profound sense of duty to his country.
For over half a century, Joseph carried on the family tradition by owning and operating Henry & Joe's Driving School, a business originally established by his father. For 56 years, he was at the helm of the driving school, shaping the driving skills and safety awareness of generations, demonstrating unwavering commitment and passion in his career.
Beyond his professional life, Joseph was deeply involved in spiritual and fraternal endeavors. He served as the Grand Prior of the Order of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, exemplifying his dedication to charitable work and fostering community values. His zeal for life extended to exploration; he cherished traveling to visit friends across the globe, an endeavor that enriched his perspective and relationships. A proud lifetime holder of the Flyers ticket, his enthusiasm for sports and community spirit was well known among his family and friends.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Annette (née St. Leger) Pauswinski, who stood steadfastly by his side throughout their life together. He was a loving father to his children, David Pauswinski and Sarah Pauswinski, and a cherished grandfather to Paige, Ashley, Hunter, Dakota, Avery, Aiden, Ryan, Gabrielle, and Mason. Together, his family embodies the enduring love and values he instilled in them.
He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Joseph and Helen (née Tratulis) Pauswinski, whose legacy he proudly upheld.
Joseph F. Pauswinski, Jr.’s life was a testament to commitment—to family, to faith, to community, and to the values that shaped him. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, his warmth, and the profound impact he made on those fortunate enough to have known him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the family he so deeply loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph’s visitation on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Bernadette’s Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 AM. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
