Joseph S. Morris, born on March 5, 1955, departed from this world on October 20, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, humor, and cherished memories. A devoted husband to his beloved wife, Joanne (Nee Snyder) Morris, he exemplified what it meant to be a loving and supportive partner. His family was at the center of his life, and he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to them.
As a father, Joseph was actively involved in his children’s lives, coaching their sports teams, attending every game, and instilling in them a sense of teamwork and perseverance. He took great joy in nurturing their passions and interests. His children, Ashley L. Morris, Nathaniel J. Morris (Elisa), and Ryan J. Morris (Hannah), will carry forward his values of dedication and love.
Joseph was a proud grandfather to his adored granddaughter, Zoey, with whom he shared a special bond. His love and affection extended to his siblings, James Morris, Kathy Errante, and Dennis Morris, who will remember him for his infectious laughter and warmth.
Known for his laid-back demeanor and quick wit, Joseph delighted in sharing his fun sense of humor with family and friends. He was a true Philadelphia sports fan, passionately supporting the Eagles and Phillies, often engaging in lively discussions about their performances. His fondness for life’s simple pleasures included golfing, fishing, hunting, and a good nap, famously referring to "resting his eyes." Joseph’s adventurous spirit was evident in his love for travel, as he cherished the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories.
Joseph is preceded in death by his loving parents, James Joseph and Mary Teresa Morris (nee Gannon), and his brother, Patrick Morris. Their absence is deeply felt, yet they too contributed to the man he became.
Family and friends are invited to honor Joseph's memory at the Donohue Funeral Home in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. A viewing will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
In reflecting on Joseph S. Morris’s life, we celebrate a man whose humor, generosity, and undying love for his family will resonate with all those fortunate enough to have known him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family members and friends, reminding us of the joy he brought into our lives.
