Joseph McNulty

Joseph J. McNulty, 88, of Havertown, PA, passed away on January 2, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia in 1933, he was the son of the late Hugh and Anna(Gallagher)McNulty.

He is survived by his sister, Nora McKenna. He was predeceased by his brothers, Hugh, Anthony, Andrew, and James. Beloved husband of the late Naomi (Née Jackson), father of Susan M. Franchi (late Richard), Joseph  McNulty (late Rosemary), Shawn P. McNulty (Lisa), Brian J. McNulty (Jennifer), Erin T. Bless, and the late Anthony A. McNulty. He was a proud grandfather to Mark, Nicholas, Jeana, Patrice, Tiffany, David, Hugh, Nicholas, Christian and Great grandfather to Audrey and Zia.

He learned the art of plumbing from working with his father as a young man and he was very creative and found many interesting ways to repair things for everyone he knew as long as they would “hold the flashlight”.

“Joe” served in the US Navy before he married and had children. Then he worked as a pressman for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 49 years. Joe was a huge animal lover and raised his children on country music. Whether you called him Dad, Pop, Joe, or friend, he will be greatly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Boulevard, Havertown, PA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
