Joseph N. Malinowski

Joseph N. Malinowski, of Broomall, PA, passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joe was raised in the Port Richmond neighborhood, the son of the late John H. and Mary (née Lewandowski) Malinowski. He joined the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) after high school, and retired from PGW after a life-long career.

Among Joe’s prized possessions were his collection of novelty t-shirts. One such shirt captured the sentiment that came to define him in his later years: “My Favorite People Call Me Dziadzi.”

Joseph was the beloved husband of Felicia H. (née Leonarski); the father of Joseph N. Malinowski, Jr. (Laura), John H. Malinowski (Crystal), and James P. Malinowski (Erin). He was the adoring “Dziadzi” of Jimmy, Joey, Ellie, Danny, Benny, Molly, Clare, and Nicky. Joseph is also survived by his dear sister, Wanda Musial (the late John) and his loyal brother, Frank Malinowski (Karen), as well as his two treasured nieces and two great-nieces.

Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to honor Joseph’s life during several services. A Viewing will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, located at 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008, followed by a Funeral Mass commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
