Joseph Christopher George

Joseph Christopher George (Joe), of West Chester, Pennsylvania, was called to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old.

Joe was the beloved husband of Betty A. George, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. Born on October 12, 1939, in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Harry and Edith George.

He was a devoted and loving father to Debbie (John) and Christina (Ray). In addition to his wife and children, Joe is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Debbie (Joe), John (Brianne), Carly, Kyle (Abbey), and Ashley, as well as his two great-grandchildren.

Joe lived a life rich in love, adventure, and deep devotion to his family. He found joy in the simple pleasures—fishing, sharing good meals, and traveling the world alongside his beloved wife. Above all, he treasured every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even his grand puppies, all of whom will forever hold the memories of his laughter and love close to their hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 12:30pm – 1:30pm at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000, followed by his Funeral Mass, at 2pm, at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment to be held at Calvary Cemetery, Villanova following the mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Association or Farm Sanctuary in honor of Joe.
