Joseph R. "Jody" Filano, age 67, of Havertown, PA, passed away suddenly on September 9, 2013. Born in Upper Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur D. and Catherine Filano (nee Merrick). He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was employed as a manager in retail sales.
He is survived by his wife Rosemarie Filano (nee Weissinger), his children Joseph Filano (Katherine), Dawn Wyzen (Anthony) and Charles Filano (Jeanne), his grandchildren Stella Ann, Joseph Robert, Rosemarie, Anthony Joseph Wyzen, Zachary Arthur Wyzen, David Matthew, Jackson Ryan and Charles Oscar, his siblings James Filano, Nancy Glessner and William Filano and many nieces and nephews.
Services and Interment are private.
Contributions in Jody's memory to the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104 would be appreciated.
