Joseph Chupein, Sr.

Joseph W. Chupein, Sr., age 86, of East Fallowfield, PA, passed away on May 16, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1932, he was the son of the late Charles P. and Mary (nee McClelland) Chupein. Joseph served honorably in the US army during the Korean War. He spent 28 years in the String Band Division, primarily the Avalon String Band, of the Mummer's Parade. Joseph loved golf and was a member for years at West Chester Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid baseball fan.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Bernadette M. (nee Cordoue); loving father of Joseph W., Jr. (Trish), Dennis J. (Kate), Daniel T., Patricia M. Price, Robert C. (Kelly), and Theresa F. Moruzzi (Tony); adoring grandfather of Sara, Rachel, Chas, Andrew, Emma, Megan, Stephen, Bridget, Anna, and great-granddaughter, Eva; predeceased by his siblings, Charles, Edward, Sr. Mary, and James.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at St. Malachi Church, 76 St. Malachi Road, Cochranville, PA 19330 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
There will be additional Visitations 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 and 10:00-11:00 AM Wednesday followed by interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
