John E. Snyder

John E. Snyder, 59, passed away on November 6, 2023.

He was born on July 15, 1964, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He attended Haverford High School, RETS Electronic School and then went to Delaware County Community College to receive his HVAC & Refrigerant Certifications. John worked for Lankenau Hospital for 37 years, where he was a respected and valued employee. He enjoyed helping and mentoring coworker’s and being part of a team, which created a comfortable environment for all. 

John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2017, but that did not define him. Through “Whipple” surgery, radiation, much chemo, testing and doctor visits, he continued to work and live his life just as he did before cancer. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved spending time at the range with his brother, traveling with his wife Paula and daughters Samantha and Jaclyn, and weekends at his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was the best girl dad! He taught his daughters how to bait a fishhook, shoot a gun, change a tire, and fix anything that needed fixing.

John is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Janet Snyder and is survived by his wife Paula (nee Gray), his children Kristina Rhone (Brandon), Samantha Snyder, and Jaclyn Snyder, and his grandchildren Skylar and Elias Rhone. John is also survived by his siblings, Richard, Patricia, Lee, and Cynthia as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Services will be on Monday, November 13, 2023, with a 10:00 to 11:00 AM Visitation at the Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19083, 610-353-6300, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
