John R. Gordon, 88, of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Aldan, PA, passed away on January 25, 2019. John was the loving son of the late Harry and Helen (nee Brady) Gordon.
John was the Director of Development at St. Ignatius Nursing & Rehab Center. He was a Premier Philadelphia Irish Tenor (Himself) and often performed at The Irish Pub on 12th Street in Philadelphia.
John was the beloved brother of Mary Lou Fighera (Frank) and brother-in-law of Jane Gordon. He was predeceased by his 5 sisters and 1 brother. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 9:30 to 10:50 AM at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 200 S. Oak Ave, Primos, PA 19018. Followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd, Yeadon, PA 19050.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name can be made to St. Ignatius Nursing & Rehab Center, 4401 Haverford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
