John Martin Flynn, Sr.

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, John Martin Flynn passed away in Tortola, BVI while cruising the Caribbean Sea.  He was preceded by his sons John Flynn, and Joshua Flynn, and his sister Patricia Flynn. He is survived by his children, Jeremy Gross, Kelsey Flynn, and Katlyn Flynn, his adopted children Justin Gross, and Kaylee Allen, grandchildren Jonathan Flynn, Lilliana DiStefano, Thomas DiStefano, brothers Frank Flynn, and Robert Flynn, sister Barbra Sinclair, fiancé Philomena Leon, and many nieces and nephews that he loved.

He was born in Philadelphia on February 7^th,1960 to Frank and Alma Flynn. He graduated from Upper Darby High School.  He retired from SEPTA as a bus driver after 33 years with many awards for exemplary service.  John was first and foremost a father who devoted his entire life to his children and grandchildren. John loved traveling, the Shore and all beaches at sunrise, playing pool, joking constantly, rock and roll music, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved wholeheartedly, gave unconditional love, and brought laughter to all around him. He was a strong man who firmly believed that no matter how difficult your circumstances are you can think happy thoughts and should strive to be happy. His legacy is the joy and laughter he brought to life each and every ordinary day.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on January 28^th, 2023, at the Community Church of Folsom, 1212 Melrose Terrace, Folsom, PA.
