John J. "Jack" Cleary, age 75, of Lake Harmony, PA, passed away on August 12, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John J. Cleary, Sr. and Mary C. Cleary (nee Sulleberger).
Jack was a graduate of Transfiguration of Our Lord Grade School and was a 1961 graduate of West Catholic Boys High School, both in Philadelphia, PA.
He attended St. Charles Seminary for six years and received his Master's Degree from Villanova University.
He was employed as a teacher with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, where he taught at St. James High School in Chester, PA until the school closed in 1993.
He then taught for one year at Cardinal O'Hara High School in Springfield, PA and also taught at Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, PA until he retired.
In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Cleary.
He is survived by his siblings James Cleary (Dorothy), Mary Catharine Connolly and Ave Maria Cleary.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, August 17, 2018 9:45-10:30 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
