Joseph Gerard Judge, 71, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, while in Key Largo, FL.

Joe was born on April 10, 1954, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Margaret (née Spillman) and Leo Judge. He was the third of four brothers and raised in Wayne, PA.

A proud graduate of St. Katharine of Siena School and Archbishop Carroll High School (Class of 1973), Joe remained a dedicated alumnus throughout his life. It was at Carroll where he met his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Libby (née Way). Together, they built a beautiful life, raising four children and welcoming seven grandchildren.

In 1976, Joe founded Judge Courier, Inc., a business he nurtured with dedication and pride for 49 years. He remained actively involved in its daily operations.

Joe was a man who lit up every room - larger than life, full of warmth, and quick with a clever remark or well-timed joke. He had a rare ability to make people feel instantly at ease, often leaving them smiling or laughing within minutes. His quick wit, charisma, and genuine interest in others made him unforgettable.

A lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, Joe was an avid tennis and paddle player, enjoyed golf, and found great joy in fishing and boating. He was deeply passionate about basketball which began in his youth and remained a constant throughout his life. Whether coaching his children and grandchildren or cheering from the sidelines, the game brought him deep connection and fulfillment. He especially cherished his regular meetups with friends and fellow coaches to talk sports, share stories, and relive favorite memories.

Above all, Joe found his greatest joy in being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He didn’t just love his family - he showed up for them in every way - big and small. Joe was involved, engaged, and deeply present in the lives of those he loved.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Libby; his children, Christy (Dave) Pegg, Tim Judge, Kenan Judge, and Carolyn (Chas) Phillip; his seven grandchildren, Hayden (20), Ryan (19), Logan (16), and Mason Pegg (14), and Hudson (9), Charlotte (7), and Phoebe (3) Phillip; and his brothers, Leo (Joan), Stephen (Gene), and Mark (Anne) Judge.

Joe's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering presence. His impact on family, friends, and community will be felt for generations to come. His larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to Joe's Visitation 9:30-11:15 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at St. Katharine of Siena Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Ave, Wayne, PA 19087, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment Private.
