Joanne Krasas

Joanne C. Krasas (nee Connor) age 75, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on July 8,

2018.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Lucille (nee

Boghosian) Connor. Joanne was the beloved wife of the late Peter Krasas, Jr.; the loving

mother of Jacqueline Krasas and Jennifer Puntus; and the dear Mom-Mom of Cecilia Rogers

and Reese and Sydney Puntus.

Joanne grew up in an Armenian Catholic home in Upper Darby and graduated from Holy

Child High School in Sharon Hill, PA in 1960. Joanne's late husband, Peter, was the love of

her life. She spent many years working by his side, keeping the books for his engineering

firm and helping run the office. Whatever Joanne was involved in, it was sure to be

organized and efficient. When her children were young, she was always available to help

out the school. At her bowling league, she liked to keep the score, and for many years, she

served diligently as treasurer for her homeowners association.

Joanne loved music, reading, bird watching, working out, and being involved in the

neighborhood. She knew all of her neighbors and their pets by name. She enjoyed collecting

Wedgwood china so much that, when given the chance, she named her street Wedgewood

Circle. She and her late husband, Peter, enjoyed their weekend evenings dining out,

especially at Positano Ristorante in Ardmore. With generosity and good humor, Joanne

made her home the place where friends and family liked to spend time. She would happily

lend an ear to hear your troubles and there was always something good to eat. You could

make her day with something sweet, especially if it was chocolate.

Joanne so enjoyed spending time with her family in Avalon, New Jersey and frequently

sought respite from cold Pennsylvania winters in Jamaica or Mexico with her late husband

and their friends. Joanne loved animals and always had at least one furry companion at

home. She was a strong, generous, and selfless individual who had a humble spirit and

could always find the humor in any situation.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Visitation

is 11:30 AM

Interment private.
