Joann F. Della Penna (nee Winters), 77, of Broomall, formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away on June 22, 2016.
Born in 1939 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (nee Catisfesta) Winters.
Joann worked as a waitress at the Sportsman Club and the Sawmill Inn in Havertown, PA. She was a great cook and loved spending time with her family. Joann was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who enjoyed watching the Eagles.
She was the beloved wife of Robert N. Della Penna; loving mother of Ronald Della Penna and Dawn M. Brasslett (Steve); loving grandmother of Ronnie, Robert, Lisa, Dane, and Bianca; and dear sister of Elizabeth Weir and Teena Cacio.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Joann's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
