Joan P. Mumenthaler

Joan Mumenthaler (nee Welsh) of Havertown, PA passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026. She is survived by her mother, Marian I. Welsh and preceded in death by her father, the late Charles E. Welsh, Jr. 

Joan leaves behind her husband, William J. Mumenthaler as well as her children, Jennifer (Kevin) and Matthew and her granddaughter. She is survived by her siblings, Charles (Deborah), Susan, Mary and Elizabeth. 

Joan loved reading and watching the Phillies and old westerns on tv. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Joan was known to always keep a stash of candy she didn’t particularly care to share. No one faulted her for that. If Joan found you funny, you were a rare person rewarded with her laughter. 

Becoming a grandmother was truly a bright spot in Joan’s life. Moments spent with her granddaughter brought her great joy. When they weren’t together Joan would likely be found at home snuggled under a blanket. She was a homebody at heart. 

Joan will be missed for her sweetness and sass by all who loved her. We know she is in the loving embrace of those who went before her.
