Joan McNichol

July 9, 1938 — October 11, 2017

Joan F. McNichol (nee Fenton), age 79, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on October 11, 2017.



Joan was devout in her Catholic faith and had a deep devotion to St. Thérése, Society of the Little Flower, Padre Pio, and St. John Neumann. She loved the Jersey Shore, especially Ocean City, NJ, where she spent 46 summers at 614 15th Street. She loved family trips to Disney World, and enjoying her grandchildren's sporting events and other activities. She loved cooking and holidays, especially Christmas, Thanksgiving and St. Patrick's Day, (the anniversary of the day she met her future husband, John). She was a longtime member and volunteer of the Upper Darby Republican Party.



Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, John F. McNichol and her sister, Carole Fischer. She is survived by her loving children Joan Dougherty (Joseph), John (Danielle), Michael (Dorothy), Paul (Bernadette) and Christopher McNichol, her 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her siblings, Peggy Salvucci (Joseph) and William McGann (Carol).



Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Sunday, October 15, 2017 4:00-8:00 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
