Joan M. McGettigan, 60, of Wayne, formerly of Drexel Hill, passed away at home surrounded by her family on April 25, 2016.
Born in Philadelphia in 1956, she was the daughter of the late James C., Jr. and Elizabeth M. (nee Cleary) McGettigan.
Joan graduated from Archbishop Prendergast High School and Cabrini College. She worked 40 years with Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Joan was the beloved sister of Barbara (Larry) Eichman, Maureen (Clint) Guenther, Susan Csanady, Karen McGettigan, Jim (Diane) McGettigan, Matthew McGettigan, Dolores (Steven) Petransky, Paul (Teresa) McGettigan, Nancy (Joe) Rago, and Kate (Matt) McCaslin; also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Thursday, April 28, 2016 at St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Ave, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cem.
