Joan Burke

Joan R. Burke (nee Fraelich), age 82, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on April 23, 2020.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Fraelich (nee O’Keefe).

Joan enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, and bowling.   She enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood, NJ and also the mountains. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed babysitting for them.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard J. Burke, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage, her daughter, Joanie Burke and her siblings Charles Fraelich and Dorothy Markunas.

She is survived by her loving children Marie Cooney (Ken), Rich Burke (Sheila), Joann Bosworth (Robert Ferguson) and Debbie Burke.   She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren Tyler, Kevin, Brian, Keith, Brittney, Richie, Caitlin, John, Chris, Brandon, Brett and Danielle and her 9 great-grandchildren Jayden, Alyssa, Jeffrey, Amelia, Krissy, Lochlan, Kiera, Makenna, and Emmaleyah.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services and interment will be private.
