Jeffrey A. Pierce

Jeffrey Allen Pierce, age 61, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on October 24, 2023.

At a young age, he joined Bethany Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Alpheus Bright. He, alongside his four brothers, was a proud usher, under the guidance of his beloved Aunt Francis at Bethany Baptist Church.

He attended Locke Elementary, Martha Washington Middle School, and graduated from Overbook High School. After graduation he studied at Penn State University. Following his studies, he served honorably in the US Marine Corps and the US Marine Corps Reserve.

He spent 32 years working at Mars Incorporated, during which time he traveled extensively, exercised his skills as a natural born leader, and served as a source of inspiration for everyone he encountered. After transitioning to Lavazza Professional in 2019, he retired in 2021.

He married his high school sweetheart, Janie Pierce, on July 2, 1988 and moved to West Chester in 1992. In 1994 they had their daughter, Jasmine Nicole Pierce, who he loved dearly.

Throughout his life, Jeffrey maintained an active lifestyle and was an avid cyclist, swimmer and golfer. In addition to sports, he had a passion for the outdoors. This passion stemmed from his time as a boy scout and spanned into his retirement. He often spent his spare time at the beach, fishing, and enjoying nature.

Jeffrey lived a full life, experiencing all the world had to offer. He traveled extensively, dressed impeccably, and most importantly made friends everywhere he went. He was often characterized by his humor, honesty, generosity, and deep love for his friends and family. His generous, loving, and adventurous spirit will live on through all he leaves behind.

Jeffrey was the beloved husband of the late Janie (nee Branch) Pierce; loving son of Hilda Ann and the late Victor Lawrence; adoring father of Jasmine N. Pierce; dear brother of Victor Pierce (Sharon), Gregory Pierce (Ayanna), Everette Pierce (Recea), and Brian Pierce; esteemed brother-in-law of Catherine Holland, Sandra Pray, and Denise Outlaw. He leaves to cherish his memory many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
