1957 Janice 2021

Janice Heintzelman

February 3, 1957 — December 17, 2021

Janice, AKA Mom, Mumsey, Jan, Janny Baby, passed away peacefully the morning of Friday December 17th. She lived her 64 years of life in a boisterous, yet humble way.

Janice was predeceased by her husband Darran Heintzelman. She is survived by her two daughters Catherine (Hemingway) Donato of Mount Pleasant, SC, Elizabeth (Hemingway) Shapot of West Chester, PA, one son Phillip Hemingway III of New Holland, PA, four granddaughters, and one grandson, all of whom she adored. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved bulldog Tootsie (fittingly, as many can attest Janice herself was the human incarnation  of a bulldog), 6 siblings, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, in whom her unrestrained essence and "Take No Shit" attitude will endure.

She thoroughly enjoyed cooking (and was especially gifted at it), gardening, fishing, collecting and polishing gemstones, listening to her Dad sing, watching Dateline, reading her daily devotionals, sticking up for herself and her loved ones, taunting bulls on her childhood farm, skinny dipping, and pressing other people's buttons. Not one to back down from adventures or confrontations, she accustomed herself to life's curveballs and exuded resilience. Divorced, widowed, injured, and ovarian cancer warrior, this strong and independent woman was an untamable fighter to the end.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Services 11:30 AM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA 17003.

In her memory and in lieu of donations, please feel free to give your two cents to those who "don't have the sense God gave a billy goat!"

Shine on you crazy diamond! We hope you live forever, you beautiful soul.
