Jane Barbara Vance (Foote) (Null), 77, of Malvern, PA, formerly of Broomall, Downingtown, Exton, and Honey Brook, PA, passed away on September 29, 2021.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Foote and Anna Elizabeth (Rollason) Swope and adopted daughter of Frederick Louis Null, Sr. Jane was a graduate of Marple-Newtown High School and Peirce Junior College. She worked in the Downingtown area school district for many years. Jane was an avid animal lover and a member of Greenpeace and the Humane Society of the US. She was devoted to many pets throughout her lifetime. Jane also loved history, particularly historic sites in Chester County.
Jane was the beloved wife of the late Clarence E. “Ducky” Vance; loving mother of Beth-Anne Heidelbaugh (Richard E., Jr.) and the late Karen Lynne Johnson and step-mother of Patricia Vance, Loreene Hayes (Christopher “Fritter”), and Cami Golden (David “Dave”); caring grandmother of Richard E., III, Brandon, Bethany, Lauren, and Madison Heidelbaugh; predeceased by her half-brothers, Norman Wesley Foote, Robert Samuel Foote, and Frederick Louis Null, Jr.; also survived by 8 step-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Marianne Tyndall, her niece, Janis Lewis, and her former spouse, Robert G. “Greg” Johnson.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service 11 AM Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery, 852 Hopewell Rd, Downingtown, PA 19335.
