James Joseph Tinneny, III

James Joseph “Jim” Tinneny, III, age 88, of Havertown, PA, passed away on March 12, 2022.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jim was the son of the late James Joseph and Margaret Tinneny (nee Casey). 

Jim was a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Tinneny (nee Mahoney) of 62 years, his loving son, James Joseph Tinneny, IV, his daughter-in-law Jessica Tinneny, and his grandsons James V, John Paul and Joseph Tinneny.  Brother of Jack Tinneny and the late Mary Ann Brophy, mother of devoted nieces Sharon Paoli and Colleen Leonard.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Saturday, March 19, 2022 9:30-10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Avenue, Havertown, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim’s memory to Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation, 130 S. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 would be appreciated.
