James Edward Shaw III

James Edward Shaw III, age 70, who passed away May 31, 2024, lived an abundant and full life. Beloved son of the late James Edward Jr. and Estella Mae (nee McKeller) Shaw Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving children, Cherie Lynch, Myeon Lynch, James “J” Shaw, Denzel Jackson, and Joniqua Jackson; Siblings, Darrell Shaw, Denise Shaw, and Lee Marvin Shaw, his beloved Step-father Marvin Albert; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  He was predeceased by his dear sister Kathy Shaw.

James received his education through the Philadelphia School System.  He graduated from Murrell Dobbins in 1972 where he was a champion fencer, member of the swim team and the math club.  He continued his education at Lyons Technical Institute where he received his Associate in Specialized Technology in 1978. James was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his Dallas Cowboys every Sunday during football season.  Most of his life he loved and cared for birds, his favorite was the Cockatoo.

Relatives and friends are invited to James’s Visitation Saturday June 8th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Interment Private.
