James Lomax III, age 77, passed away on March 17, 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan; son Paul and his wife Anita, daughter Tricia and her husband Michael; grandchildren Addison, Caroline, Trent, Shaine and Lauren; sisters Mary Anne Berry and Phyllis Weaver; many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
After graduating from Central High School in Philadelphia, Jim earned a B.S. from Western Maryland College, an M.S. in chemistry from St. Joseph's University, and an M.B.A. from Widener University. He was distinguished as a Technical Fellow of Rohm and Haas where he worked for 37 years as a chemist and technical manager.
For many years he was the chairman of the finance committee of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
Jim's priority was spending time with his family especially at the shore. He loved traveling, gardening, and music, especially the Philadelphia Orchestra.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. at St Luke United Methodist Church in Bryn Mawr.
