James A. “Jim” Hunter, of Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026.
Born on December 12, 1941, in Philadelphia, Jim grew up in Drexel Hill and graduated from Upper Darby High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and carried a lifelong love for his country. He was stationed in Alaska, a place he thought was especially beautiful and that remained memorable to him throughout his life.
Jim worked for many years at Phonetics, an electronic manufacturing company. He also had a lifelong passion for flying and photography. He especially enjoyed traveling throughout the American West, where he captured the beauty of its landscapes and communities through his photographs. His love of travel, adventure, flying, and the natural world brought him many cherished memories.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Jeanne Inforzato; brother-in-law, Richard Inforzato; niece, Kristin Contois; and nephew, Michael Inforzato. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Jim’s memory.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jim at a Visitation, Sunday, September 27, 2026, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and to his Funeral Service, 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073.
