James F. Kelly

James F. Kelly, age 84, of Audubon, PA, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born on March 22, 1941 to the late Frank T. and Catherine (Nee Hyland) Kelly, Jim grew up in West Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School, where he not only excelled academically but in athletics as well. His love for soccer continued into his college years at St. Joseph’s University, where he led his team as captain, earning respect and admiration of teammates and coaches alike.

Following his graduation, Jim dedicated over 30 years of service to PECO. He carried himself with humility and kindness, traits that defined both his professional and personal life.

Above all, Jim cherished his family. He shared 59 years of marriage with his beloved spouse, Kathleen, and was a devoted father to their four children. His most treasured role was as “Poppy” to his fifteen grandchildren. His warmth, guidance, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jim is survived by his wife Kathleen (nee McIntyre), his loving children, Kevin Kelly (Marisa), Kathleen Pires (Chas), Mary Kate Mink (Matt), and Maureen Latrechiano (Joe); grandchildren, John, Matthew, Kelly, and Brady Pires, Ryan, Patrick, Cate, and Sarah Mink, James, Anna, Charlie, and Connor Latrechiano, and Roman, Dylan, and Kira Kelly; Siblings, Kathleen Carney (late John), Frank “Skip” Kelly (Celie), Larry Kelly (Marianne), and Chris Truax (Joe). He was predeceased by his sister Helene DiVito (Sur Dave).

Relatives and friends are invited to Jim’s visitation on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 AM at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 401 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA. Interment at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.

He will forever be remembered for his loyalty, his kindness, his love of family, and faith.
