JAMES J. BAILEY, 76, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Springfield, PA passed away on March 24, 2018.
Jim graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1959. He served in the Air Force from 1960-1967.
He went to work at Jerrold Electronics in 1964 as a Sales Engineer and was inducted into the Pennsylvania and National Cable Pioneers. He was also co-founder of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). He retired in 2006 from Motorola (formerly known as General Instrument) after 41 years of service.
He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Batdorf) Bailey; loving father of James M. Bailey (Stacey) and Dawn M. Smith (Eric); devoted grandfather of Dylan & Ryan Smith and Jared Bailey; dear brother of John, Dick and Bill Bailey and Sally Dete.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 10:00-10:50 AM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA 19380 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to SS Simon & Jude at the above address or to Neighorhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St., Suite 204, West Chester, PA 19380.
