Miriam McFadden (nee Allenbaugh), 98, of Broomall passed away, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on October 11, 2018 at Granite Farms, Media, PA.
Born in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Allenbaugh and Marjorie (Joyce) Hawley.
Miriam was the beloved wife of the late Harry J. McFadden; loving mother of Kathleen Davis (William), Patricia Kearney (Thomas), Theresa Callahan (Richard), Charles McFadden and Harry McFadden (Mary).; devoted grandmother of William Davis, Korin Davis, Shannon Lyons, Linda Lyons, Thomas Kearney, Bryan Kearney, Celeste Fanelli, Laura Moreno, Sean Callahan, Bridget McFadden, Joseph McFadden, Kevin McFadden, Erin McFadden, Michael McFadden, Kelly McFadden, Caitlyn McFadden-Plichta, and the late Krysta Marie Davis; great-grandmother of Naomi, Aiden, Kaleya, Conor, Amos, Faye, Ben, Shyann, Owen, Carolyn, Emily, Logan, Brady, Una, Azumi, Kaylani, Mason, Madolone and Myles; dear sister of Walter Hawley.
Miriam was a devoted wife and wonderful mother who enjoyed raising her 5 children.
She began her career as a Secretary and worked her up to Registrar at Villanova University School of Law.
Miriam enjoyed lapidary, ceramics and needle point.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 10:00-11:00 AM Monday, October 15, 2018 and to her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct., West Chester, PA. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
