Isabelle Erb

October 18, 1943 — May 6, 2021

Isabelle J. Erb "Belle", 77, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away May 6, 2021.

Born October 18, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late David H. and Mildred E. (née Stewart) Kroupa.

Belle was a loving mother fully dedicated to her family and all those she considered extended family.  Belle spent her career as a nurse where she worked at Delaware County Memorial Hospital and later focused on pediatrics working for Pediatric Medical Associates in Havertown, Pa for over 30 years.  Along her nursing journey she often substituted as a school nurse in the Springfield School district, taught CPR classes, and was an active member of the Springfield Ambulance Corps.

Belle shared her creative side with many others in the form of knitting, counted cross-stitch, etc.  She was a co-owner of the Country Craft Corner store for many years on Saxer Avenue in Springfield.  Belle enjoyed being an active member of the Saxer Avenue Merchants where you would often see her helping to organize the St. Patrick's Day parade.  Upon her retirement from nursing, Belle found herself working for a pharmaceutical company continuing to serve patients in a different form.  She then became an active member in her retirement community where you would find her helping to organize the annual fair, scoring shuffleboard and operating The Stall.  Her happy place was anywhere her grandkids were.

She was the beloved wife of J. William Erb; loving mother of Joseph William Erb, Jr., Jeffrey Erb (Kelly), and Jodi Erb O'Neill (Michael Justin); adoring grandmother of Brynne Erb, Connor Erb, Garret Erb, Cian Erb; Erin Erb, William Erb, Cole O'Neill, Madison O'Neill, Jason O'Neill, and Trevor O'Neill. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Elizabeth Kroupa Gunn and Aunt Belle to her beloved family in Texas.

Belle donated her body to medical school through Humanity Gifts Registry.  Services will be private.
