Isabella Grace Wendling (nee Dube), age 90, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was married to John “Jack” Wendling with whom she shared love and family for 33 years before he left us too early.
Isabella is survived by her children John E. Wendling (Susan), William F. Wendling, Lorraine Henderson (Michael), Anna Marie Campbell (Anthony, late), Carol Ann Olandt (Kevin), and Mary Ellen Jackson (Mike). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jennifer, Melissa, Allison, Kimberly, John, Frank, Nick, Charlie, Jack, Michael, Richard, John, TJ, Elizabeth, Shannon, Nicole, Sean, Patrick, Nancy, Joseph, Rebekka, Christopher, Hannah, Sarah, Thomas, Samuel, and Quinn, and was a cherished great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Francis Dube and sister-in-law Carol. She is survived by many other loving family members and held a cherished place for her nephews George and Ed.
Isabella was born in Upper Darby, PA and was raised by Isabel and Edward Grant. She proudly graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA. After which, she went on to roller skate her way into her husband’s heart and they married in 1957.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and proudly worked for many years at IVB Bank before her retirement. Her strong sense of independence led her to continue working closely for her financial advisor until she truly retired well into her seventies.
A woman of deep faith and service, she spent hours singing with the St. Andrew’s Church Choir, volunteering within Saint Andrew’s organizations, and helping in the school community. She found great joy tending to her gardens, watching her grandchildren swim in her pool, making crafts, and taking care of her pets. These were some of her most favorite past-times. She also loved to visit her house in the Pocono Mountains, and travel with her brother, sisters-in-law and girlfriends.
As the matriarch of the family, Isabella hosted large and wonderful holiday gatherings with everyone included. Isabella should be remembered for her service to others, devotion to her family, her strength, and love she shared with all who knew her.
