Ingrid Taylor Ross

July 31, 1939 — June 6, 2026

Devon

Ingrid Taylor Ross, lovingly known to family and friends as “Kiki,” 86, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2026. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Kiki lived life with remarkable energy and enthusiasm. She embraced every opportunity with curiosity and optimism. Born on July 31, 1939, in Holzminden, Germany, she spent her formative years in Katrepel, a suburb of Bremen. In 1956, she immigrated to the United States with her family and settled in Larchmont, New York.

In the early 60’s, Kiki served as an International Flight Service Attendant for Pan American World Airways. Her assignments took her throughout Europe and the Middle East. During this time, she met Charles “Charley” Ross, whom she married in Larchmont on August 5, 1961.

Following their marriage, Kiki and Charley moved to Princeton, New Jersey, and later to Devon, Pennsylvania, where they raised their family and lived in her beloved home for more than 50 years. Her favorite activities were hosting summer parties under the sycamore trees, perfecting her garden and having her grandchildren swim in the pool.

Gifted in drawing, painting, and design, Kiki later pursued her passion for the arts and earned an Associate in Science degree in Interior Design from Harcum College in May 1998 at the age of 58. She immersed herself in Interior Design Studio courses, advanced technical drawing, and studies of architecture and furniture history, developing a keen eye for design and authenticity. Her professional development also included participation in the Color Seminar with the Interior Design Council and continued study in drawing and painting at the Main Line Kreuzberg Center.

Kiki was active in community life, particularly with the International House Philadelphia, where she served from 1990 to 1996 as a dedicated committee member and chairperson of the Decorations Committee, bringing creativity, beauty, and warmth to countless events.

She also faithfully served as a Deacon at Wayne Presbyterian Church.

Yet the heart of Kiki’s pride and joy was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles Ross; her daughter, Caroline Galdabini (Gregory); her daughter, Diana Rael (Jay); and her son, Charles R. Ross (Christina). Together, they share the legacy Kiki leaves through her six grandchildren: Isabella, Anna, Kristen, Taylor, Ella, and Charles, each carrying forward the warmth, strength, and love she so generously imparted.

Kiki is also survived by her sister, Annegreth Nill; her stepbrother, Gert Bischoff; and her half-brother, Jens Meyer-Jungcurt. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annegreth Taylor; her stepfather, Osborne Taylor; her father, Richard Meyer-Jungcurt; and his wife, Erika Meyer-Jungcurt, whose memories remained tenderly held in her heart.

Kiki was a woman with an enduring zest for life. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on June 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Wayne Presbyterian Church, followed by her Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayne Presbyterian Church.
