Howard McElhenny

Howard W. McElhenny, age 58, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Howard E. McElhenny and the late Gertrude (nee O’Donnell) McElhenny.

Howard loved playing his guitar, singing and jamming out with his son, Chris on the weekends at his sister, Colleen’s home.  He enjoyed working on and driving his antique Nova that he had since he was 18.  Howard also liked watching “Below Deck” with his father.

Howard was the loving father of Howard W. McElhenny, Jr. (Jen), John Paul Mahoney (Amanda), Billy Mahoney, Chris McElhenny and Jennifer McElhenny and the proud grandfather of Kailyn McElhenny, Makenzie McElhenny and Lucy Leigh Mahoney. He was the brother of Colleen Henne and Rita Athens.  He is also survived by his beloved lifetime companion, Lisa Cullen, and his many loving nieces and nephews, Sabrina Voorhees, Samantha Erica Athern, Joshua Keller, Kyle Watson and Adam Watson.  He is predeceased by his sister, Judy Watson.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 10:00 – 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.  Interment private.
