Henry Bohe

September 26, 1947 — January 15, 2020

Henry Michael Bohe, 72, of Coatesville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2020.

He was born September 26, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, to Roland and Lillian Bohe. He is preceded in death by his wife, Emli-Ann “Bee” (nee Parker); their son, Michael; and his beloved dog, Sampson. Henry was a man of strong beliefs and faith and knew that when the time came, he would be reunited with Bee and Michael.

Henry loved working in his hobby shop, building RC planes, listening to Billy Joel, and restoring his Volkswagen beetle. He enjoyed nights in front of the fireplace watching The Winds of War, Northern Exposure, and War and Remembrance with his wife Denise. There was nothing he didn’t know about the history of Gettysburg and there was nothing he couldn’t build or fix. Henry was probably the last man who still believed in Sony BetaMax tapes.

He spent many years working on holiday train displays at Longwood Gardens and brought much joy to countless people there. He had a lifelong love/hate relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles, a passion that he passed on to his children. He was a coach for the Fallowfield Fillies softball league for many years and is fondly remembered by the girls he coached and other members of that organization.

Henry’s proudest accomplishment was his children; his greatest happiness was his family.

Henry is survived by his wife, Denise Trammell; his children Emily (Luke) Milmont, Sarah Bohe, Adam (Blake) Bohe; and his step-children Jennifer Hulton, and David (Diana) Hulton. Henry is also the loving grandfather of Owen, Eva, Claire, and Dean Milmont; and Josh, Hannah, and Will Hulton. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Henry will be remembered by friends and family as a good man, a loving companion, and a proud father.

A celebration of life gathering will be held in the near future.
