Helga J. Blackmon

Helga J. Blackmon (nee Jakob), age 89, of Malvern, PA, passed away on August 25, 2025.

Helga was born in Ludwigshafen, Germany on October 19, 1935. She had many occupations in her early career, ending with a career working at Lockheed Martin, training military personnel to operate satellites. Helga enjoyed traveling and doing crossword puzzles, especially the New York Times.

Helga was the beloved wife of the late Earl Blackmon; loving mother of Larry Blackmon (Karen), Deborah Blackmon, and R. Craig Blackmon (Kathy); caring grandmother of Kelly Hofmeyer (Kyle), Amy Didona (Ish), L. Michael Blackmon, Jr., and Bryana Suwias (Chris); great-grandmother of Preston, Kohen, Kade, Charlotte, Peyton, Audreyana, Christian and Thomas; and dear sister of the late Egon Jakob.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 89 Line Road, Malvern, PA 19355, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
