Helen R. Ginsburg, of Springfield, PA, a beloved member of the community, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Mary (née Blackburn) Videtto.
Helen grew up in Southwest Philadelphia, and was a proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High where she played basketball, fostering her lifelong love of sports.
Helen later settled in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, where she nurtured her family and made lasting contributions to her local community. As a dedicated member of St. Philomena Church, she found joy and purpose in her faith.
An avid sports fan, Helen was a passionate supporter of the Philadelphia Phillies and Sixers. Her love for sports was matched only by her enthusiasm for life; she was known for enjoying good times and creating memorable experiences with those around her. She treasured her summers spent in Ocean City, New Jersey, where the sun, sand, and surf became the backdrop of countless happy days.
Helen was the wife of the late Joseph L. Ginsburg; the loving mother of Thomas Ginsburg (Diane), Helen Stranick (Robert), Carolyn Abbonizio (Sal), John Ginsburg (Colleen), and the late Joseph Ginsburg. She was the caring grandmother of Jack, Olivia, Lauren (Anthony), Meghan (Ian), Allison (Brandon), Helene, Alyssa, Christopher (Jillian), Alexa, Keith (Tiffany), Scott (Kristin), Thomas Jr. (Hillary), Christopher, Katie, Ellie, and Grace. She is the dear great-grandmother of Lindsay, Brett, Natalie, Carter, and Samantha.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Helen’s life at a Viewing on Monday, January 5, 2026, 9:00 to 10:15 AM at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by a Funeral Mass commencing at 10:30 AM. Interment thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
