Helen Bush

Helen Bush, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 13, 2026. Beloved daughter of the late James and Louise (nee Venus) Donahue.

Helen is survived by her children, Doreen Strack (Al), Joanne Sharp (Rob) and Christine Schneider (Ed) grandchildren, Danny, Anthony, Ryan, Johnny, Jayson & Tyler; great-grandchildren, Dyryck, Cameron and Madison; and siblings, Joseph Donahue (Mary) and Mary Polaski (late Fran). She was predeceased by her husband, Aldan Bush; Son, Joseph Sharp; great-grandson, Lil Dan and siblings, Catherine Brown and James Donahue (late Carol)

Helen grew up in North Philadelphia. She lived most of her life in Folcroft where she raised her four children. She was a great cook and enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She loved to throw parties and did it for everyone and for any occasion. Helen had a loving, kind, thoughtful way about her and helped many people along her lifetime. She loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart. She will be deeply missed by her family & friends.

Helen worked as a waitress for many years at Cheech O’s Lounge. She also worked as a mail sorter at Brokers Worldwide and met many friends.

Helen loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing rummy, pinochle & Yahtzee. She loved her lottery and scratch offs. Helen loved to shop especially on QVC. Later in life she did a lot of adult coloring and arts and crafts.

Relatives and friends are invited to Helen’s visitation on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
