Harold L. Zuber

September 4, 1949 — October 11, 2025

West Chester

Harold "Hal" Luther Zuber Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Throughout the last two years, Hal’s generosity, determination, quick wit and sense of humor continued to shine through.

Born in Pennsauken, NJ, the son of Harold and Mary (Gammarino) Zuber, Hal was raised in Manchester, PA and graduated from Northeastern High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Clarion State College. Following college, Hal began his professional career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse in Philadelphia. In 1980, Hal accepted a new opportunity at Teleflex Incorporated, where he spent most of his career and ultimately rose to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During this time, he also served as Board President for both the West Chester Area School District and the Friends Association for the Care and Protection of Children.

In 2003, Hal left corporate America and found a new passion for investing in and managing small businesses in the West Chester, New Jersey, and Maryland areas. Hal enjoyed the change of pace and found it to be very fulfilling. The world of small business allowed Hal to meet new people, learn new industries and face new challenges. It was perfect for a lifelong learner and avid problem solver. He also loved to share his many professional experiences and offer advice to anyone who asked. Hal was a mentor to many.

Above all, Hal was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Family was always his top priority. Hal proudly coached his daughters’ powerhouse little league softball team, spectated at hundreds of games, and attended his fair share of dance recitals over the years. He loved spending time with family on vacations and holidays, but also in the smaller moments of playing in the snow, hanging out on the deck or chatting about the financial markets. Hal could also be found golfing, gardening or cheering for the Phillies, which proved to be challenging at times.

Hal was the beloved husband of 49 years to Maureen (Finnie) Zuber. He was the loving father of Nora Fedyna (Mike) and Emily Grubb (Tony). He was proud Pop-Pop to his cherished grandchildren: Ryan, Colin, Mallory and Jackson. Hal is also survived by his brother Brad (Nancy) and numerous loving cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Hal's memory may be made to SS Simon and Jude School to provide scholarships for those who need financial aid in order to pursue a Catholic education at the school.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Tuesday October 21, 2025, at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment Private.
