Harold B. "Hal" Pierce

Harold B. “Hal” Pierce, Jr., age 78, of Royersford, PA, passed away on March 18, 2022. Born in Elizabeth City, VA, he was the son of the late Harold B., Sr. and Claudia Pierce (nee Chappell).

Hal was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1966.  He worked at General Electric Reentry Systems Department in Philadelphia from 1966-1990 as a Design/Staff Electrical Engineer.  He joined Lockheed Martin Aerospace Division from 1990-1997 as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer and Staff Engineer. 

Hal enjoyed sailing at Marsh Creek and Corsons Inlet, camping at Kerr Lake, NC, ballroom dancing, bike rides on the boardwalk in Ocean City, number ciphers and word puzzles, tinkering in the garage, and going to the YMCA gym almost every day. He was a strong member of the Royersford community and was a proud supporter of the local library, Fire Company, and Sacred Heart Church. Hal loved spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandkids.

Hal was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth C. Pierce (nee Moran).  Loving father of Shannon Gillespie (Jasen), Erik Pierce (Christyn), Christine Madden (David), and Michael E. Bevilacqua.  Caring grandfather of Joshua, Jesse, Kaden, Christopher, and Kaitlyn and adoring great-grandfather of Bristol, Berkley, Brydger, and Bryar. Devoted brother of Chappell Pierce (Carol) and Roberta Saunders (Randy).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at St. Dorothy Church, 4910 Township Line Road Drexel Hill, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. Springfield, PA.
