Gregory Smith

Gregory T. Smith, 34, of West Chester, PA, passed away June 20, 2021.

Born March 5, 1987 in Drexel Hill, PA, he was a son of the late Kathryn T. (nee Smith) Smith and Thomas A. Smith (Laura).

Greg was a proud graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School and West Chester University, where he played football as a linebacker. He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, especially of the Sixers and the Eagles, and loved playing pickup basketball at the YMCA. Greg loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family and never failed to light up every room he walked into. His favorite nights were spent relaxing at home with his wife, Jess and golden retriever, Ralph. As the middle child of seven siblings, Greg perfected his role as both a big and little brother, while also being the Son who made his parents proud. He enjoyed long conversations about movies or television shows, creating movies with his nieces and nephews, and was always challenging himself with a new puzzle. Everyone who knew Greg would agree his presence always started with a smile and ended with a lot of laughs.

He was the beloved husband of Jessica (nee Smith) Smith, loving brother of Thomas Smith, Jr., Jennifer Smith, Christine Hall (Drew), Lauren Gannett (Jeff), Shawn Smith (Kelly Mundy), and Jillian Smith (Kevin Connelly); dear brother-in-law of Robert Smith; adoring uncle of Matthew, Tommy, Ava, Brendan, Andrew, Taylor, Ryan, Emma, Jack, and Noah; and caring son-in-law of Terri Smith (Frank Long). He will also be missed by his dog, Ralph.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 5PM to 8PM, Friday, June 25, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Saturday at Ss Simon and Jude 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester PA 19382.
