Girija Rao

Girija K. Rao died peacefully in her sleep on March 18, 2021.   She was a deeply loved member of her family and is survived by her 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was born on February 17, 1930 in a small village call Perdur in Karnataka, India.  She came to the United States in 1976 with her husband, son and daughter-in-law and helped them raise their children (her grandchildren) and then her great-grandchildren.

She was a simple person whose biggest joy was being around her family.   She was a fighter who battled cancer for over 20 years.   She was extremely selfless and caring and will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.
