Gerhard E. Linder

Gerhard E. Linder, 87, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on December 16, 2025.

Born in Germany in 1938, he was the son of the late Ernst and Lottie (née Grosse) Linder Winterle.

Mr. Linder served honorably in the US Army. He arrived in America when he was only 15 and did not know a lot of English, but he truly loved our country.

He worked as a General Manager in a Sheet Metal Factory and never said no to working overtime. After his retirement, he was a Eucharistic Minister at a local prison for 8 years. This was his way of giving back to the young men there, hoping to reach them and help them turn things around in their lives.

Gerhard enjoyed gardening and could build just about anything. He was known to have the best looking yard in town. He was a very loyal, but quiet person, often preferring to keep to himself. He liked wearing a tie any chance he could.

Gerhard cherished family first and had a very hard time after losing his beloved wife of 67 years last March.

He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (née McFadden) Linder; loving father of Judy Reynolds (the late Ed) and Caroline Mercadante (Larry); proud grandfather of Michael (Leah), Matthew, Elizabeth and Christina; dear brother of the late Traute DeAngelo (Pat).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Interment Private.
