Geralyn Valori Wittig, 68, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief and courageous journey with cholangiocarcinoma.
Born on December 1, 1956, to the late Louis and Mildred Valori, Geralyn was the fourth of five siblings. She was a woman of quiet strength and deep compassion, whose presence brought warmth and beauty to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings Marilyn and Louis, and is survived by her sister Judi and brother Mario.
Geralyn shared over four decades of marriage with her devoted husband, Thomas Wittig. Together, they built a family rooted in love, faith, and service. She was a proud and nurturing mother to Julia Wittig Silvasy (Steven) and Thomas Wittig Jr. (Stephanie), and the deeply adored Gigi to Bree, Duke, Thomas, and Ava—each of whom lit up her world.
A gifted hair stylist by trade, Geralyn had an artist’s eye and a generous heart. Her creativity, love of style, and care for others were woven into everything she did, from the way she shaped beauty through her work to the values she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She had a special way of seeing people, especially those who struggled silently, and she taught all who knew her the quiet power of empathy and kindness.
Geralyn was a charter member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, where she found spiritual nourishment and a community of faith. Her devotion to St. Mary and St. Anthony reflected the gentleness and strength with which she lived her life.
A visitation will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church (15 East Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382) from 10:00–11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. A family life celebration luncheon will follow the service.
In honoring Geralyn, we remember a woman who loved deeply, gave generously, and lived with grace. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all those she touched.
