George Charles Homa

George Charles Homa, loving husband and father, sadly passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late George and Grace (née Petriello) Homa.

George grew up in Montgomery County, in Bridgeport, PA, a zep sandwich enthusiast. He was proud to be a part of the last graduating class of Bridgeport High School. In his youth, he was a talented athlete, playing football, baseball, and basketball. Following his high school years, he furthered his education at the University of Tampa, where he attended on a football scholarship. Professionally, George worked in the finance industry as a stock broker for many years.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, George was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan. His enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love for leisure activities such as crossword puzzles and trivia, where he often showcased his sharp intellect and competitive spirit.

George was the beloved husband of Loretta (née DiNardo) Homa; the loving father of Alexandra Homa (Kyle Reaves) and Katherine Homa (Travis Gabriel). He was the dear brother of Jack Homa, Lisa Homa Windheim, Gina Wilson, Grace Pierson, and the late Patricia Nettles. George is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and his grand-puppy, Axel.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, 8:30 to 10:15 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Interment private.
