Frederick C. Kloss, Jr.

Frederick C. “Rick” Kloss, Jr., passed away on July 24, 2026. He was the cherished son of the late Frederick C., Sr., and Sophie (née Schmidt) Kloss.

Rick leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Kathleen M. (née McCoy) Kloss. He was a loving father to Robert C. Kloss, Jeffry F. Kloss (Jenny), and Daniel C. Kloss (Kate), and a proud grandfather to Josie and Julia. Rick is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy Wortham and Carol Kloss Traynor.

He was a graduate of St. Dominic's High School in Syosset, NY, Valley Forge Military Academy in 1967, and Rio Grande College in Ohio. His life took a beautiful turn when he met Kathleen on a blind date, developing a bond that endured. Together, they built a life in their dream home in Wallingford, PA, after moving from Collingdale, PA.

Rick's career led him to impactful roles as a Vice President at Prudential Bache Securities and later Wexford Securities in New York.

Rick was a veteran of the Army National Guard and also an avid golfer, gardener, and sports enthusiast, particularly enjoying baseball and football. He found joy in the beaches of Hampton Bays, NY. Known for his quiet, reserved nature, Rick cherished his faith and his family, with fond memories of his mother's coffee cake, and was affectionately called "Poppy" by his grandchildren.

Frederick C. Kloss, Jr., will be remembered for his gentle spirit, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Rick’s viewing on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 AM at Nativity BVM Church, 30 E. Franklin Street, Media, PA.
