Francis J. “Frank” Sheehan died peacefully on June 25, 2025. He was 78 years of age.
Frank was born to Francis J. and Elizabeth (Betty) K. Sheehan in Wilmington DE on May 25, 1947.
Frank and his wife Bernadette (Maguire) shared thirty-three loving years together. Frank and Bernadette enjoyed their life together and explored many pursuits together. They traveled to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park, Lake George, vacationed in Hawaii and Australia and camped throughout the US.
Frank was the beloved father of Heather (Joe Mosko) and the proud and doting Grandad to Owen and Nolan. Frank is survived by six siblings and their spouses, Ron and Donna Sheehan, Judyann Sheehan, Kevin Sheehan, Lisa Sheehan, and Mary (Honey) and Sam Coniglio. He is also the proud uncle and survived by eight nieces and nephews and their spouses and five grandnieces and grandnephews.
Frank served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the service, Frank worked for the US Postal Service. Frank loved the outdoors and enjoyed anything Philly. Frank and Bernadette were frequent attendees at Flyers, Phillies and Eagles. Frank was an avid follower of current events and kept the TV tuned to news outlets throughout the day. Frank was a kind and gentle guy. He was unfashionably courteous and attentive to everyone...but especially to Bernadette! As everyone's favorite DD, he ensured dependable, safe travel home for friends and family at many social gatherings.
All are invited to his Visitation on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 and on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 9:30 am -10:30 am at St. Anastasia Church 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment at Holy Cross cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
