Francis P. Rowland

Francis P. Rowland, of Lima Estates in Media, PA, a beloved member of the community, peacefully passed away on January 13, 2026, at the age of 98.

Born in Lost Creek, PA, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (née Hefferon) Rowland. Francis served his country and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.  He worked many years at Provident National Bank (PNC) in their Trust and Vault Operations. 

Francis had a zest for life. He was known for his love of music and loved to sing. He was involved in several choirs and chorus groups. He loved to dance and he and his late wife enjoyed dancing whenever they had the opportunity. He was an avid walker and spoke to everyone along his way. A lifetime Philadelphia Phillies fan, he celebrated the highs and lows of each season with an unwavering loyalty. 

Francis was the beloved husband of the late Josephine M. (née Fogliano) Rowland; and dear uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Francis is predeceased by his siblings, John Rowland, Thomas Rowland, James Rowland, Eleanor Della Franco, Catherine Alexander, Marie Rowland, and Margaret Annan.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Francis' life at a Viewing on Monday, January 19, 2026, 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Nativity BVM Church, 30 E Franklin St, Media, PA 19063, followed by a Funeral Mass commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment thereafter at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
