Francis John McNamee

Francis John McNamee of Exton, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Maria Theresa (Fiore) McNamee with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.  They were married in St. Callistus Church in 1969.  Born in Philadelphia in 1944, he was the son of the late Patrick McNamee and Frances (Garvey) McNamee.

He graduated St. Callistus Parish School and St. Thomas More High School in 1962.  He received his Associates in Engineering Technology from Temple University; his Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton and attended Harvard Business School.  Frank had a successful career in the insurance industry employed by the Insurance Company of North America (INA), Cigna Property and Casualty Insurance Company, and ACE American Insurance Company.  He was well regarded by his family, friends and professional colleagues.  He loved to travel and collected unique pens and timepieces.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife in 2012 and is survived by his three children, Christie Anne, Sean Patrick and Gregory Francis.  He is also survived by his brother, Father John P. McNamee; and grandchildren, Breeanne Fiore and Brody Ryder; and honorary grandson, Justin Prince Horton.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30pm on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay Street, West Chester, PA 19380.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church prior to Mass from 11:00am to 12:30pm.  Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Rd, Yeadon, PA 19050.
