Frances "Francesca" Delli Carpini

Frances “Francesca” Delli Carpini (nee Pellecchia), age 96, of Wildwood Crest, NJ, previously of Wayne, PA, passed away at her residence, surrounded by her loving family on April 20, 2022.

Born in Manhattan, NY to the late Saverio and Rose (nee Esposito) Pellecchia, Frances worked as a bookkeeper for Haskins and Sells and then as an administrator for Jones Apparel, taking time to raise her family in between.

Frances was a skilled gardener and an avid sports fan, especially of the New York and Philadelphia teams.  She made beautiful braided rugs for many years that still grace the homes of her children.  She thoroughly enjoyed visiting the casino and was luckier than anyone her family knew at the Poker slots. Frances was an excellent cook and loved cooking for her family. She was Pier One’s best customer.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Strafford, PA for many years and more recently was a member of Notre Dame de la Mer Parish, in Wildwood, NJ.

Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband Domenick in 2000. She is survived by her loving children John J. Delli Carpini (Kenichi Miura), Michael X. Delli Carpini (Jane Whittaker), Dominic F. Delli Carpini (Rabiya Khan), Lisa A. Delli Carpini and Joseph W. Delli Carpini (Jane Trombly); her adored grandchildren Danielle Potteiger (Scott), Derek Petrangeli (Kodie), Ariel Ebaugh (Matt), Tess Delli Carpini, Taylor Delli Carpini, and Summer Delli Carpini; her step grandchild, Hamzah Bair; and her great grandchildren Mason Potteiger, Keegan Petrangeli, Hudson Ebaugh, Avery Potteiger and Harlie Petrangeli.

Frances was predeceased by her siblings Joseph Pellecchia (Rose) and Rose Salvitelli (Anthony).

Private services for immediate family will be held on Tuesday, April 26.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frances’ memory to St. Jude Research Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
