Frances A. Boyd

May 2, 1932 — Jul 30, 2026

Frances A. Boyd (nee Driscoll), age 94, of Haverford, PA, formerly of Devon, PA, passed away on July 30, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the devoted daughter of the late John S. and Mary A. Driscoll (nee Coll).

Frances distinguished herself through a meaningful career as a Program Analyst for the Devereux Foundation. Her work was not merely a profession, but a vocation—one she approached with care, intellect, and an unwavering sense of service to others. Colleagues and friends alike found in Frances a reliable presence, a champion for positive change, and a partner in the endeavor of helping others thrive.

Beyond her professional achievements, Frances’s devotion to her faith and community was an enduring hallmark of her life. A devout Catholic, she found daily strength in her beliefs and expressed her spirituality through active participation in parish life. As a cherished member of St. Monica’s Choir, Frances lent her voice to the joy of worship, uplifting the hearts of many with her talent and reverence. She extended her hands in service through her involvement with the St. Joe’s Downingtown Woman’s Auxiliary and took delight in the camaraderie of the Red Hatter’s Club—cherishing friendships formed and memories made.

Fran’s love for her family was at the forefront of her being. Whether gathering together for simple moments or sharing in life’s milestones, she nurtured and celebrated those closest to her, anchoring their lives with warmth and affection. She also found profound happiness by the shore, especially at Avalon and Cape May—places where her spirit could be renewed by the rolling waves, the gentle breeze, and the laughter of loved ones.

Frances was the beloved wife of the late William W. Boyd; loving mother of Maureen Dennehey, Teresa F. Savino (Edward), and the late Patricia Savino (John); adoring grandmother of Mike, Jim, and the late David; caring great-grandmother of Collin. Also survived by 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, Rev. John M. Driscoll, OSA, Joseph R. Driscoll, and Marie A. Miller.
