Florence M. "Dutch" Myers

Florence M. “Dutch” Myers, age 89, of Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1933, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Florence Dingfelder (nee Goenner).

Florence led a faith-filled and productive life, devoted to her family and friends. Florence was a longtime member of Annunciation BVM Parish in Havertown, PA where she was a member of the Legion of Mary. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) teacher for the Diocese of Philadelphia for 30 years. She was committed to early childhood development, which stemmed from her vocational degree from Dobbins High School as a teen.

Florence was the beloved and devoted wife of the late James A. “Jim” Myers for 57 years, supporting him through his career as a Philadelphia Police Officer and Detective and his service as Chief of Police of Haverford Township, Pa. She was the loving mother of her children John Mahan (Ann), Stephen Mahan (Cathy), the late Greg Mahan, stepson Kenneth Myers (Karen) and stepdaughter Marie Marshall (John). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA 19083, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
